Memorial plaque in the redwood grove in Sorich Park forJohn Walters In 2005 the San Anselmo Open Space Committee placed a memorial plaque in the redwood grove in Sorich Park to honor John Walters, who worked for years to preserve and protect open space in San Anselmo. The plaque was made by local artist Jonathan Braun, co-chair of the committee.


Donors who wish to make a contribution to save prominent lands, parcels that are designated for protection by the San Anselmo General Plan, are encouraged to contact the San Anselmo Open Space Committee or the Marin Community Foundation. This Foundation manages the "San Anselmo Open Space Fund" as a Section 501(C)3 tax-deductible charitable fund. All gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
